Story
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love; figuring out if their relationship will survive their wildly different lives and their families’ interference. Originally titled “Shiksa,” which is also the last word spoken in the first episode. I was so excited for this one! Some of the dialogue and plot points, especially in the first episode, missed the mark. A few minutes in, I thought, is this going to suck? Well, I stuck with it and ended up REALLY enjoying it. The love story was passionate and there was definitely chemistry between them. And that first kiss. WOOFTA. I think I got pregnant too. Also, many laugh out loud funny moments. 100% my sense of humor. Is it an Oscar winner? Probably not. Will people be offended? Absolutely. But it’s a feel-good story that was lighthearted and full of lovable characters. I can’t wait for season 2.
